Moonen Yachts announce new partnership talks
3rd July 2019
Dutch superyacht builder Moonen Yachts has revealed that they are in advanced talks with a new investment partner, with final details of the agreement due to be settled imminently. More information is expected soon, but the yacht builder has revealed that their investor is familiar with the superyacht industry, and will be bringing with them a strong background in global business.
The aim of the new partnership is to secure investment allowing the Moonen brand to expand the number of yachts produced per year, and in doing so strengthen its market position and create a model of sustainable future growth. The new partner brings a passion for yacht building as well as business experience, and, using the strong reputation of Northern European yacht builders, will work to cement Moonen Yachts' position in the global market as a signature superyacht builder. The quality, comfort and design of future Moonen yachts will be of the same high standard as all past builds.
“I see the cooperation with the proposed investor as a very positive development and a perfect opportunity to expand,” said Johan Dubbelman, CEO of Moonen Yachts. “By teaming up with this reputable investor, we can secure future growth, not in length – as we remain in the 30 to 50 metre segment – but in numbers. This impulse matches the companies’ strategy and is completely in line with future perspectives.”
Established in 1963 (with a few name changes along the way) Moonen are a market leader in what they describe as 'pocket sized' superyachts.
