CEO of Gulf Craft steps down

28th June 2019

Gulf Craft has announced the departure of their current CEO, Gregory Yeakle. Yeakle will be stepping down after only a year in the role, having been appointed in June 2018. Mohammed Hussein Alshaali will now assume the role of Executive Chairman as part of an ongoing restructuring plan within the company. Several more announcements are to be expected over the coming months regarding this restructure and ongoing growth and development strategies at Gulf Craft.

Mohammed Hussein Alshaali is well placed to take up the role, as existing chairman of the company with well over 30 years of experience in the leisure marine industry behind him. To add to his credentials, Alshaali was recognized as Business Person of the Year by the International Superyacht Society last year at the 28th ISS Design and Leadership Awards Gala in Florida.

In the statement released by the yard, Gulf Craft’s Board of Directors and workforce wished Yeakle the best in his future endeavors and thanked him for his contribution to the shipyard.

The UAE-based shipbuilder will continue with construction of its range of yachts and superyachts, including the Majesty 174, its 53.34-metre flagship which is due for delivery this year.
