New CEO for Baltic Yachts

Anders Kurten has been revealed as the new chief executive officer of Baltic Yachts, replacing current CEO Henry Hawkins He will take up the role in September 2019, leaving his current role as Director of Products at Inha Works Ltd, a subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Europet that manufactures Buster, Cross and Yamarin boats. As well as his role at Inha Works Ltd, he is currently chairman of Finnboat, the umbrella organisation for the Finnish marine industry and will bring 15 years of experience in marine industry management to the role at Baltic Yachts.

Interim chief financial operating officer Jurate Keblyte said of Kurten’s appointment: “I am delighted that Baltic Yachts and the Baltic Family will be benefiting from Anders Kurten’s extensive experience in the marine industry and his proven management skills.” Keblyte will remain on the advisory board of the company.

In the same management reshuffle, Henry Hawkins will become Executive Vice President, concentrating on sales, marketing and after sales. Together he and Kurten will continue to drive the current strategy at Baltic Yachrs, which has seen their order book grow and go from strength to strength. The current order book includes the recent commission of a Baltic 117 Custom project in conjunction with Dykstra Naval Architects, as reported by KK SUPERYACHTS last week CLICK HERE, in addition to the existing Baltic 146 Custom, a world first long distance cruising superyacht fitted with transverse Dynamic Stability System (DSS) foil that is currently in production at the Baltic Yachts facility.
