Feadship opens doors on new Amsterdam site

Dutch yard Feadship’s much-anticipated new facility, located in Makkum in the Port of Amsterdam, was officially opened on 16 May 2019 with an impressive opening ceremony in the presence of hundreds of people. The new site received the royal seal of approval with Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands in attendance to officially declare the facility open.
This impressive new facility is part of the yard’s investment in its future and comes as Royal Van Lent celebrates its 170th year in business. This new yard space will allow Feadship additional capacity and the ability to build and refit even larger yachts of up to 160-metres in length. The site’s all-modern spaces also include a 140-metre dry dock and the yard is already being put to use with 88.38-metre Project 816 newly in situ.
