60m S/Y Germania Nova Sold!

KK Superyachts announced today the sale of the 60m sailing yacht GERMANIA NOVA, listed by Edmiston, with KK Superyachts introducing the buyer.

Special thanks to Mike Horsley at Edmiston and Nick Hill at Moravia as joint central agents for their collaboration on the sale of this beautiful 60 meter schooner.

This classic sailing yacht is a 59.60m / 196ft schooner with a displacement hull built by Marin LuxurYachts and launched in 2011. The yacht's interior has been designed by Clay Oliver. She has a steel hull with a wooden superstructure, a beam of 8.17m / 27ft and a draft of 5.41m / 18ft. 

A truly remarkable replica of the legendary 1908 schooner Germania, GERMANIA NOVA was designed using identical hull lines as well as the same sail and deck plans. 

Her classic style is balanced with the latest engineering and systems. The main engine and generators are joined by modern navigational and communications equipment. Extra weight is offset by the high-tensile steel hull and mast construction. She cruises comfortably at 12 knots under engine.

GERMANIA NOVA has both the charm and nostalgia of the Edwardian Era, allied to the comfort and high performance standards of the original yacht.

She is also in Class and carries MCA LY2 designation.

GERMANIA NOVA’s interior offers a bright and spacious layout. Dining may take place on the aft deck or in the salon. The full beam salon has a comfortable seating area and the large dining table can be converted into a bar. GERMANIA NOVA can accommodate up to ten guests in a luxury full beam master suite and four double cabins.

We are also happy to let everybody know that she will continue her Charter duties with Captain Justin Holvik in charge and his capable crew looking after the charter guests well being.
